Upcoming Show Schedule
The Chongqing drone show is usually held every Saturday at 8:30 PM, with additional performances possibly added during public holidays and special events. The show is free to watch and no reservation is required.
The schedule below is based on the latest officially announced information. If there are any temporary changes, I will update the information as soon as possible.

Best Viewing Locations
Based on overall viewing experience:
Changjiahui Shopping Park > Danzishi Riverside Road (the section between Danzishi Ferry Terminal and Danzishi Square) > Raffles City Chongqing > Chaotianmen Square > Chongqing Grand Theatre
Changjiahui Shopping Park
Recommendation: 5/5
Location: Viewing platforms on the 4th or 6th floor of Changjiahui Shopping Park.
Why it is recommended: This is the best location for watching the drone show because it faces the main direction of the performance. The elevated position provides a wide view, and you can also enjoy the spectacular background of Raffles City and the Yuzhong Peninsula, creating one of the best overall viewing experiences.
However, if you arrive too late, crowd control measures may be introduced, and access to the viewing platforms may be restricted.
How to get there: The recommended option is taking the Chongqing Metro Loop Line to Danzishi Station. Exit from Exit 3 and walk about 16 minutes to Changjiahui Shopping Park.
If you plan to take a taxi or ride-hailing service, it is recommended to leave 1–2 hours earlier because temporary traffic restrictions may be introduced before the show.

Danzishi Riverside Walkway
Recommendation: 4.5/5
Location: The riverside walkway between Danzishi Ferry Terminal and Danzishi Square.
Why it is recommended: Similar to the Changjiahui viewing platform, this area also provides a front-facing view of the drone show. However, because the walkway is at a lower elevation, visitors need to look upward for a long time, so the viewing experience is slightly less comfortable compared with the higher platforms at Changjiahui.
How to get there: The transportation route is the same as Changjiahui Shopping Park. After arriving, continue walking down toward the river.
You can also navigate directly to: Danzishi Ferry Terminal(弹子石轮渡码头) or Danzishi Square(弹子石广场).

Mountain City Garden at Raffles City Chongqing
Recommendation: 4.5/5
Location: Mountain City Garden on the first floor of Raffles City Chongqing.
Why it is recommended: This location faces Changjiahui across the river. Although it is not the main viewing angle for the drone show, it usually has fewer visitors and is easier to access.
Previously, text displayed by the drones could appear reversed when viewed from this side. Recently, some performances have adjusted the display direction, allowing the text and images to face audiences near Chaotianmen as well, improving the experience for visitors here.

How to get there: Take Chongqing Metro Line 1 to Chaotianmen Station. Enter the Chaotianmen Atrium from the area between Exit 2 and Exit 3.

Then take the sightseeing elevator to the first floor.

After leaving the elevator, walk up the slope toward the fountain area. The viewing platform is located in front of the fountain.

Chaotianmen Square
Recommendation: 4/5
Location: Directly in front of Raffles City Chongqing.
Why it is recommended: The viewing angle is similar to Mountain City Garden at Raffles City. However, this area usually attracts more visitors, and the ground-level position means you also need to look upward for a long time.
How to get there: Take Chongqing Metro Line 1 to Chaotianmen Station. Follow the route described above to enter the Chaotianmen Atrium, then walk straight ahead and exit through Gate 8.

Chongqing Grand Theatre
Recommendation: 3.5/5
Location: The riverside area beside Chongqing Grand Theatre.
Why it is recommended: The square is spacious and offers a wide view. Visitors can generally see the complete drone formations while also enjoying the night scenery of Chaotianmen, Raffles City, and Nanbin Road on the opposite riverbank.
However, this location is more of a side or rear viewing angle, so some drone patterns may not appear perfectly aligned.
How to get there: Take Chongqing Metro Line 6 to Grand Theatre Station. Exit from Exit 2 and walk about 5 minutes to Chongqing Grand Theatre.
